Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter talk about the sex scenes in Jessica Jones

January 19, 2016 by Luke Owen

Over the weekend at the Netflix TCA (via ComicBook), the stars of Jessica Jones were around to take questions about the first season, particularly after the announcement of a second series. One of the ‘hot’ topics of conversation however was the chemistry and relationship between Jessica (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter). How did the actors find them?

“If you’re gonna have to do a scene like that, it’s not terrible to do it with Mike,” Ritter said laughing. “He’s all right looking, but he’s also just a nice guy, always has your back.”

They both added that there’s “nothing sexy” about their scenes and that they actually pick on each other during them.

“The awkward point is the people that are in the room besides us,” Colter added. “We’re okay, it’s the 20-30 people that are around who are all of a sudden there – wouldn’t normally be on set.”

There’s no release date for the second season of Jessica Jones just yet, but it will see the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Rachel Taylor as Trish Walker/Hellcat, Eka Darville as Malcolm, Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth and Wil Traval as Will Sampson. No word yet on Mike Colter returning as Luke Cage.
