Tyler Ritter joins Arrow season 5 as new Star City detective

Arrow continues its cast expansion for its upcoming fifth season, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that Tyler Ritter (The McCarthys) has signed on to The CW’s DC superhero drama.

Ritter has landed a recurring role as Detective Malone, “a new addition to the Star City Police Department following Captain Lance’s (Paul Blackthorne) departure from the squad last season.”

Season five of Arrow gets underway on October 5th, with Ritter joined by fellow new additions Josh Segarra (Chicago P.D.) as The Vigilante, Rick Gonzalez (Coach Carter) as Wild Dog and Chad L. Coleman (The Walking Dead) as the new villain Tobias Church.
