Ignacio Serricchio cast in Netflix’s Lost in Space

December 14, 2016 by Ricky Church

The upcoming Lost in Space reboot for Netflix has added another cast member. Deadline reports that the series has cast Bones star Ignacio Serricchio as Don West, played in the original series by Mark Goddard.

West is a “roughneck smuggling luxury goods on the side who finds in the Robinsons the family he never thought he would find”. Lost in Space is about the Robinson family and their crew ending up light years away from home and being forced to battle strange alien environments, and their own personal demons.

The ten-episode series sees Toby Stephens (Black Sails) as expedition leader John Robinson, with Molly Parker (House of Cards) as his wife Maureen, Maxwell Jenkins (Sense8) and Taylor Russell (Falling Skies) as children Will and Judy and Parker Posey (Cafe Society) as Dr. Smith. The reboot has been written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Dracula Untold), with Zack Estrin (Prison Break) serving as showrunner and Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers) set to direct several episodes.

Look for Lost in Space to hit Netflix in 2018.
