Spidey leaving the MCU, new It trailer, Jumanji plot details, War for the Planet of the Apes trailer and more – Daily News Roundup

March 30, 2017 by admin

SPIDER-MCU NO MORE?

After scoring massive praise in Captain America: Civil War and a lot of hype for his solo outing Spider-Man: Homecoming, it appears Spidey’s time in the MCU will be short-lived. In an interview, former Sony president Amy Pascal noted that their partnership with Disney could come to an end after the Homecoming sequel. “One of the things that I think is so amazing about this experience is that you don’t have studios deciding to work together to make a film very often,” Pascal explained. “In fact it may never happen again, after we do the sequel. Because Sony, and Disney, and Marvel all decided that the right thing to do was to allow Peter Parker and Spider-Man to be in the MCU and to work with the Marvel guys and have them produce this film”. This would make a lot of sense, given the announcement of a Venom movie and a Black Cat/Silver Sable team-up. Read more about that story here.

SPIDER-RUMOURS!

I’M GONNA BREAK IT!

During a presentation at CinemaCon, Disney has revealed that next year’s sequel to Wreck-It Ralph is going by the title Ralph Breaks the Internet, and as rumoured it will see John C. Reilly’s Ralph venturing out into the world wide web. We saw some concept art for the movie earlier this year, and it looks like it will be a lot of fun. You can read more about that story here.
