Westworld’s Talulah Riley upgraded to series regular for Season 2

March 23, 2017 by Ricky Church

One of the recurring hosts we saw in HBO’s critically acclaimed Westworld was Talulah Riley’s Angela, the host who greeted Jimmi Simpsons’ William and many other guests through the doors of Westworld. Now, as Westworld prepares for its second season, we can expect to see much more of Angela as Riley has been upgraded to a series regular.

Her role in the second season is described briefly but ominously as “the host whose beatific face welcomed guests to Westworld for decades, Angela will prove to be one of the last faces many guests will ever see.” This seems to build off her change of circumstances towards the end of the season, not to mention the cliffhanger ending involving the hosts and their previous guests. Angela seems poised to become an important member of the hosts awakening.

It will be a while before we’ll be able to see the second season of Westworld, as HBO has scheduled it for early 2018. So far, the only other two returning cast members we know of are Ed Harris as the infamous Man in Black and Jeffery Wright as Bernard, though we can assume Evan Rachel Wood and Thandie Newton will also return as Dolores and Maeve respectively.

Westworld was created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy and is based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 film.
