UPDATE: Shia LaBeouf’s new film Man Down sells just one ticket during UK opening weekend

April 4, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Shia LaBeouf’s latest film Man Down opened in the UK this past Friday, and according to THR, it managed to gross just £7 over the weekend, selling a single ticket in a cinema in Burnley.

The thriller – which received a limited theatrical release and also hit VOD the same day – is directed by Dito Montiel and sees LaBeouf’s U.S. Marine searching for his estranged wife and son in post-apocalyptic America. LaBeouf is joined in the cast by Kate Mara, Jai Courtney and Gary Oldman.

Man Down’s opening weekend echoes that of the Emma Watson / Daniel Bruhl film The Colony (a.k.a. Colonia), which earned just £47 during its opening weekend last year, , while the Al Pacino / Anthony Hopkins thriller Misconduct also pulled in just £97 last summer.

UPDATE: THR is now reporting that Man Down has sold a further two tickets, increasing its box office 200% to £21.
