The Boondock Saints: Origins TV series launches “fan-focused pre-order campaign”

May 1, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Back in the summer of 2015, Troy Duffy revealed that having failed to get a third Boondock Saints movie off the ground, he was now turning his attention to the small screen, developing a prequel TV series based upon the cult 1999 vigilante film.

Well, we now have an update on the project courtesy of IGN, who has revealed that Duffy has now teamed up with Don Carmody Television for The Boondock Saints: Origins. Also launching is a “fan-focused pre-order campaign”, which invites fans to pre-order the series on DVD and digital download, as well as gaining access to behind-the-scenes content and merchandise. Here’s a campaign video, featuring actor David Della Rocco…

“A television series is the perfect medium for story telling inside the world of our beloved blue collar super heroes,” states Duffy. “The brothers have always been defenders of the people, justice, fairness and the city of Boston. In this sensitive time of human rights unrest, government scandal and civil corruption, there couldn’t be a better moment to re-launch the brothers iconic brand of justice in the Cradle of Democracy”.
