Brigitte Nielsen joins Adi Shankar’s superhero thriller series Gods and Secrets

July 15, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Actress Brigitte Nielsen has signed on to play the main villain in Gods and Secrets, a new superhero-themed show from producer Adi Shankar (Castlevania). Nielsen will replace Glee star Mark Salling, who was charged with the possession of child pornography last year and subsequently removed from the project.

Speaking to Variety, Shankar revealed that “I just kind of reached out to her” with regards to Nielsen’s casting, and that he then brought back other cast members to the set to reshoot scenes with the character earlier this month.

Plot details for Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets are being kept under wraps, save for the fact that it is described as “a thriller about the dark side of a world populated with superheroes.” In addition to Nielsen, the cast also includes Will Yun Lee, Kellan Lutz, Denise Richards, Jane Seymour, Jackson Rathbone, Edi Gathegi, Sharni Vinson, Derek Mears and Chaz Bono.
