Battle-Cars coming to Rocket League as a Nintendo Switch Exclusive

August 23, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Psyonix, developer of the award winning Rocket League, have revealed that Battle-Cars will be coming to the Nintendo version of Rocket League as an exclusive.  The Battle-Cars will be available as special unlockables when the game is launched on the Nintendo Switch this winter.  A new trailer has been released to accompany the announcement showing the Battle-Cars in action; watch it below…

The first of these new Battle-Cars are named Mario NSR and Luigi NSR (no prizes for guessing who they are named after).  Depending on which team colour players choose will determine which of these two cars is used with Mario for the orange team and Luigi for the blue team.  These two cars have a specialised boost called ‘Super Star’ which is appropriate.  The second of the Battle-Cars is called the Samus’ Gunship and is based on the hero from the Metroid franchise.  This comes in two variations based on different Varia suits and come with the ‘Wave Beam’ specialised boost.

Rocket League is coming to Nintendo Switch for Holiday 2017! We’re excited to announce that ‘Mario NSR,’ ‘Luigi NSR,’ and ‘Samus’ Gunship’ are all coming to this version of Rocket League as FREE unlockable Battle-Cars at launch! Along with the new vehicles, Rocket League on Nintendo Switch will have exclusive customization items.

Rocket League will be available on the Nintendo Switch later this year.
