Game of Thrones season 7 finale title and running time revealed

HBO has officially announced that this Sunday’s hotly-anticipated season seven finale of Game of Thrones is titled ‘The Dragon and the Wolf’, and will run for 79 minutes, 43 seconds, making it the longest in the show’s history.

The episode promises to be one to remember, as all of the main players from the series assemble in the Dragonpit in King’s Landing to discuss the threat of the Night King and his army of the dead.

As for the title itself, it could well refer to the blossoming romance between Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow, but there’s also the possibility it is a reference to Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, as we finally discover the full truth about their relationship and Jon’s parentage. I’m guessing it will be a bit of both…

‘The Dragon and the Wolf’ will air on HBO on Sunday night in the States and on Sky Atlantic on Monday night in the UK. Watch the promo here.
