Back at the end of September we reviewed Memoirs of a Spectrum Addict from Andy Remic. A documentary feature film based on Andy Remic’s memoirs growing up with the ZX Spectrum; part cinema drama, part interviews, part nostalgic journey. We awarded the documentary 4 out of 5 stars saying of it, “If you lived in the ZX Spectrum era – or you still are – then picking up Memoirs of a Spectrum Addict would be a nice treat to yourself.”; well now Spectrum Addict: Load “Film 2” is (hopefully) coming soon.
Entering its final week on Kickstarter Spectrum Addict: Load “Film 2” is close to £8000, with its needed total of £12,000 just in its sights.
Spectrum Addict: Load “Film 2” is promising new interviews including Mel Croucher (Deus ex Machina) and Jon Ritman (Head over Heels), more on the history and technology of the Spectrum with Andy C Spencer from the Retro Computer Museum lending his knowledge on the tech side. Games reviews, with guest reviewers and all magazines being covered for the Spectrum’s long history. Spectrum Addict: Load “Film 2” will be a totally new documentary, and not numerous pieces of old footage from the first film pieced together.
