Speculation resurfaces that Eiza Gonzalez has been cast as Catwoman in the DCEU

October 18, 2017 by Gary Collinson

If you cast your mind back to this summer, you may recall speculation linking From Dusk Till Dawn and Baby Driver star Eiza Gonzalez to the role of Catwoman in Warner Bros.’ planned female DCEU movie Gotham City Sirens.

The rumours began due to the actress’ social media activity, having shared photos of various DC comic books, discussed visiting Warner Bros. Studios, and posting some images of her in a rather tight Catwoman-like bodysuit. Sketchy, but it was enough to get tongues wagging…

Well, those same rumours have now resurfaced, owing to more social media sleuthing from Reddit, where it has been pointed out that Suicide Squad and Gotham City Sirens director David Ayer has recently followed Gonzalez on Twitter.

Now, this may well mean nothing at all – perhaps Ayer is simply a fan – and there have even been rumours that the filmmaker may no longer be attached to the project, so we definitely need to take this with a pinch of salt. However, by the same token, given the “evidence” so far, it also wouldn’t be a surprise if there is something to it all.

What would you make of Eiza Gonzalez as Catwoman? Is she a good choice, or would you rather see someone else in the role? Let us know in the comments below…
