StarCraft II goes free to play on November 14th

On 14th November StarCraft II will be free to play for players around the world.  Come that wonderful day Blizzard Entertainment will give free access to the award winning Wings of Liberty campaign and the game’s online ranked competitive multiplayer with access to all the latest units.  Those StarCraft II players who already own this chapter but have not yet purchased Heart of the Swarm will be able to get this for free instead but only for a limited time.  Check out the new video below which provides an overview of this free to play campaign…

In StarCraft II the Terran Dominion is the dominant force in the Koprulu sector.  Although war wages in the galaxy between the Terrans, the xenomorphic superorganism known as the Zerg and the technologically advanced Protoss, the Wings of Liberty campaign focuses on the Terrans, particularly the terran rebel Jim Raynor as he takes on the Dominion.

Players who complete the Wings of Liberty campaign can purchase the remaining single player campaign chapters separately.
