Turn based strategy game Warhammer 40,000: Gladius announced

November 25, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Slitherine Games have revealed their new turn based strategy game set in the marvellous Warhammer 40,000 universe, Warhammer 40,000: Gladius.  The universe of Warhammer 40,000 is a violent place filled with races who are hellbent on destroying all other races while all the time the Chaos gods watch on, feeding on the hatred and brutality.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius is a 4X turn based strategy game that sees players choose from one of four different races throughout a variety of battles.  A deep storyline has been created specifically to allow players to explore an entire world and lead the expansion of an empire, combine this with discovering ancient artefacts and completing the many custom-crafted quests and you have a game that will provide near endless replayability.

The four different factions will be very familiar to fans of the universe and no Warhammer 40,000 game would be complete without the Adeptus Astartes (or Space Marines as they are more commonly known as), these are genetically engineered super soldiers and the greatest defenders of humanity.  The Space Marines will be joined by the Imperial Guard (humanities rank and file troops), Necrons, a race of malevolent and ancient beings and the Orks, possibly the most bloodthirsty yet endearing race (considering how popular they are with gamers).  Each one of these four factions have very different characteristics and will all interact with enemies and allies in very different ways.

If you want to see Warhammer 40,000: Gladius in action then tune in to Slitherine’s official Twitch channel on 1st December at 7pm GMT.

Look out for more news on Warhammer 40,000: Gladius coming soon.
