Winter arrives in Cities Skylines Console Edition

November 15, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Winter has arrived in Cities Skylines Console Edition as Paradox Interactive announce the release of the weather focused expansion, Snowfall.  This is the first expansion for the console edition and brings a new winter themed maps, snowplows, new public transit options and new ways to keep your citizens warm.  To celebrate the release of this first expansion watch the release trailer below…

The Snowfall expansion includes a new set of winter themed maps that throws the city into the chaos of a harsh winter.  These maps provide a range of brand new challenges for budding mayors that will see them using new equipment to keep the streets clear of snow and finding ways to keep the population warm.  Players will have access to snowplows, city wide heating systems and a new streetcar public transport system to help the citizens keep working when winter really hits.

Snowfall will feature:

  • New public transit options including street trams and easier management of existing transport lines.
  • New heat systems to be put in place as the cold weather increases demand for electricity.
  • A new ‘Winter’ map theme for DLC owners with snow and new challenges – snowplows, road maintenance and more.  Rain and fog will also come as a free update for all players.

The Snowfall expansion is available now on the Microsoft and Playstation Stores.
