January 25, 2018 by Matt Rodgers

The success of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle was one of the most welcome surprises of the past few months, with the film currently standing at just under $800 million at the worldwide box office. What should come as no surprise at all is that Sony are already looking at fast-tracking a sequel.

Details are sketchy at the moment, but The Wall Street Journal reports that studio head, Tom Rothman is hoping to get the follow-up in cinemas by the end of 2019.
