Wonder Woman 2 will be the first film to adopt PGA’s Anti-Sexual Harassment Guidelines

January 22, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Last week, the Producers Guild of America issued a set of Anti-Sexual Harassment Guidelines, aimed at combating the recent wave of sexual misconduct allegations that have been sweeping Hollywood, and now comes word that the first movie to be filmed under said guidelines will be Wonder Woman 2.

“Sexual harassment can no longer be tolerated in our industry or within the ranks of the Producers Guild membership,” said PGA presidents Gary Lucchesi and Lori McCreary during the announcement of the guidelines. “We are in a transitional moment as a society, in which we are re-evaluating behavior in the workplace and beyond. Producers possess authority both on and off the set, and can provide key leadership in creating and sustaining work environments that are built on mutual respect.”

Warner Bros. has already taken one step against sexual harassment with the Wonder Woman sequel, removing Brett Ratner – whose company Ratpac Entertainment helped to fund the first movie – from the project following allegations of sexual misconduct against the filmmaker.

Wonder Woman 2 is set for release on December 13th 2019 and will reunite director Patty Jenkins with star Gal Gadot.
