Anime feature Batman Ninja gets a trailer and English voice cast

February 14, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Warner Bros. has released the first English language trailer for the upcoming DC anime feature Batman Ninja which features a voice cast that includes Roger Craig Smith (Batman), Yuri Lowenthal (Robin), Adam Croasdell (Nightwing/Alfred), Will Friedle (Red Robin/Red Hood), Grey Griffin (Catwoman), Tony Hale (Joker), Tara Strong (Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy), Eric Bauza (Two-Face), Tom Kenny (The Penguin), and Fred Tatasciore (Gorilla Grodd/Deathstroke); watch it here…

Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd’s time displacement machine transports many of Batman’s worst enemies to feudal Japan – along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies – including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family – to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City.

Batman Ninja will see Batman, Nightwing, Robin and a host of the Rogues Gallery transported back in time to feudal Japan. The film is set for a DVD/Blu-ray release on April 4th, and features a creative team that includes director Jumpei Mizusaki (Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure), character designer Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai), screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima (Kamen Rider Fourze) and English language screenwriters Leo Chu and Eric Garcia (Supa Ninjas).
