Guy Pearce joins Netflix’s supernatural teen drama series The Innocents, watch a teaser here

Streaming service Netflix has announced that Guy Pearce will appear in its upcoming British supernatural teen drama series The Innocents, where he’ll appear alongside Sorcha Groundsell (Clique, Iona, Sleeping Lions) and Percelle Ascott (Wizard vs. Aliens, The Weekend Movie). When teenagers Harry and June run away from their repressive family lives to be together, they are thrown into an extraordinary journey of self-discovery that derails their innocent dream. Secrets kept from them by their respective parents test their love to breaking point; and the extraordinary gift they possess unleashes powerful forces intent on dividing them forever.

Created by Hania Elkington and Simon Duric, the eight-episode series is produced by New Pictures’ Charlie Pattinson, Elaine Pyke and Willow Grylls, alongside Farren Blackburn, who also directs six of the eight episodes. As yet, there’s no word on a premiere date.
