The Walking Dead’s Chandler Riggs auditioned for Spider-Man: Homecoming and Solo: A Star Wars Story

With Chandler Riggs’ time as Carl Grimes drawing to a close, the young actor has been chatting to Comic Book about his future plans post-The Walking Dead, revealing that he’s looking to transition into movies, and has already auditioned for several major franchises.

“I auditioned for Spider-Man, I auditioned for Han Solo, all those big movies,” said Riggs. “I would love to do something like that. It would be awesome, especially now that I have a lot more free time, it would be really, really cool.”

While Riggs lost out on those roles to Tom Holland and Alden Ehrenreich respectively, the actor does have a couple of feature films on the horizon in the sci-fi thriller Only and crime drama Inherit the Viper, although of course neither of those are quite on the same level as Marvel and Star Wars. Still, maybe he’ll get his wish one day soon…

The Walking Dead returns for the second half of its eighth season on Sunday February 25th in the US and Monday February 26th in the UK.
