Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. casts a young Baron von Strucker

March 15, 2018 by Gary Collinson

It seems that Baron Von Strucker is set for a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for guest appearance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., although unlike Agent Phil Coulson, the HYDRA villain won’t be coming back from the dead.

Actor Joey Defore (Hawaii Five-0, Blue Bloods) has been cast as a young version of Strucker, played by Thomas Kretschmann in Avengers: Age of Ultron. He will appear in the March 30th episode, titled ‘Rise and Shine’, which will explore the past of General Hale (Catherine Dent) and her ties to HYDRA, with younger versions of Hale (Alyssa Jirrels) and Agent Jasper Sitwell (Adam Faison).

Baron von Strucker’s son Werner von Strucker has previously featured in the series, played by Spencer Treat Clark.
