See D.J. Cotrona as Superman in George Miller’s abandoned Justice League Mortal, new concept art of the full team revealed

March 23, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Ten years before Zack Snyder (and Joss Whedon) assembled the Justice League in last year’s blockbuster, Mad Max helmer George Miller attempted to bring DC’s heroes together on the big screen with the ultimately aborted Justice League Mortal.

The film almost made it into production before Warner Bros. pulled the plug, with Miller having assembled a cast that included Armie Hammer (Call Me By Your Name) as Batman, D.J. Cotrona (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) as Superman, Megan Gale (Mad Max: Fury Road) as Wonder Woman, Santiago Cabrera (Heroes) as Aquaman,Adam Brody (The O.C.) as Barry Allen, Anton Yelchin (Star Trek Beyond) as Wally West, Hugh Keays-Byrne (Mad Max: Fury Road) as Martian Manhunter, Common (Suicide Squad) as Green Lantern, Zoe Kazan (Fracture) as Iris West, Jay Baruchel (Knocked Up) as Maxwell Lord and Teresa Palmer (December Boys) as Talia al Ghul.

Over the years, we’ve seen a few pieces of concept art from the abandoned project, as well as some shots of Megan Gale in costume as Wonder Woman, and now we’ve got a look at D.J. Cotrona as the Man of Steel; take a look, courtesy of DC Films Hub

Meanwhile, the folks at Collider also have some concept art showing the full team of Batman, Superman, The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern…

And here’s a better look at the Batsuit and Superman costume…

What do you make of these costumes? Are you disappointed we never got to see Miller’s vision for the Justice League? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below…
