Chiwetel Ejiofor and Harris Dickinson in talks for Disney’s Maleficent 2

May 5, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Following on from last week’s casting of Michelle Pfeiffer, it has now been announced that Chiwetel Ejiofor (Doctor Strange) and Harris Dickinson (Trust) are in talks to join Disney’s upcoming fantasy sequel Maleficent 2.

Angelina Jolie will be back in the title role alongside Elle Fanning as Aurora, while Ed Skrein (Deadpool) will portray the villain. According to That Hashtag Show, Ejiofor is up for the role of a love-interest to Maleficent, while Variety has revealed that Dickinson will play The Prince, taking over from Brenton Thwaites who is unable to reprise his role from the first movie due to his commitments to the DC Comics series Titans.
