Kevin Smith returning to Supergirl to direct an episode of Season 4

July 30, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Despite suffering a near fatal heart attack earlier this year, Kevin Smith seems to be showing no signs of slowing down whatsoever.

In addition to his regular podcasts and Q&As, he’s recently unveiled his comedy pilot Hollyweed [which you can watch here], is gearing up to shoot Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and just yesterday he teased a mystery project which he said “would be the biggest budgeted anything I’ve ever done”.

Well, if that isn’t enough to keep him busy, we can now add another project to the list, as Smith has revealed on his Fatman on Batman podcast that he’ll be directing another episode of The CW’s DC superhero show Supergirl.

“I go up to Supergirl, when is it? I’m doing Episode Four,” said Smith. “I’m doing an episode, I shouldn’t say which one because I don’t think we’ve announced it yet… I could still get fired if they dig through my tweets.”

Smith has previously directed three episodes of Supergirl, as well as three episodes of The CW’s fellow DC series The Flash.
