New difficulty levels coming to Vampyr later this summer

July 27, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Developer DONTNOD has announced they will be releasing a new content update later this summer for their narrative driven action RPG Vampyr.  The upcoming update will bring with it a host of optimisation tweaks and 2 new difficulty levels that will provide new options and replayability.

The update will introduce a new Story mode that places greater focus on the narrative whilst reducing that which is placed on combat.  This means that players can follow the adventure of Dr. Reid as he comes to terms with what he has become without getting sidetracked by combat.  However, for those who want more combat there is the new Hard mode.  This mode not only makes combat much more difficult but will also provide less experience from killing enemies meaning that players will have to rely more on the citizens of London to develop his powers.

London, 1918. You are newly-turned Vampyr Dr. Jonathan Reid. As a doctor, you must find a cure to save the city’s flu-ravaged citizens. As a Vampyr, you are cursed to feed on those you vowed to heal.

For those who prefer to play on PC, Steam are currently offering a 25% discount on Vampyr but be quick as this discount is only available until the 30th July.
