Charlie Cox unsure if Daredevil season 4 will happen

October 25, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Charlie Cox, the star of Daredevil, says that he doesn’t know if there are plans to do a fourth season of the Netflix show.

Daredevil season three is going over pretty well with fans of the series, with this latest set of episodes depicting Matt’s ongoing crusade against Wilson Fisk, as well as doing battle with new villain Bullseye.

A few days ago showrunner Erik Oleson said that he was very hopeful that a fourth season of the show would happen but Charlie Cox, who plays the titular character, isn’t aware of any plans.

Speaking to THR, the actor said: “At this point, I don’t know if there’s any intention of us doing more seasons. But were that to be the case, I think there’s an interesting challenge for the writers, because I don’t think we can do another season where Matt is so isolated, so alone, and so broken and angry. I think in order to avoid being a broken record, we’re going to have to find a Matt Murdock that at least initially has a slightly different attitude toward the people that he loves, and toward himself, and toward God.”

Cox is certainly right that should Daredevil return one more time, the series would need to change things up yet again to stay fresh. What do you think, should Daredevil season four happen?

Missing for months, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) reemerges a broken man, putting into question his future as both vigilante Daredevil and lawyer Matthew Murdock. But when his archenemy Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is released from prison, Matt must choose between hiding from the world or embracing his destiny as a hero.

Season three of Daredevil sees Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin) all returning to the cast alongside new additions Joanne Whalley (Wolf Hall) as Sister Maggie and Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) as Bullseye.
