Encounter the Dark Arts with Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Halloween content

October 8, 2018 by Andrew Newton

Halloween starts early this year in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery as the darker side of the wizarding world brings all manner of dangers to players.  This October will see players investigate a brand new mystery, fight off dangerous creatures and explore the Forbidden Forest.

Hogwarts students will find the Great Hall festooned with pumpkins and spooky decor while the school’s resident spooks, Nearly Headless Nick, the Fat Friar, the Bloody Baron and the Grey Lady, roam around (and possibly through) the tables.

A new seasonal sidequest will send a shadow over the school as players investigate the disappearance of a student that leads them to the mysteries of the Cursed Vaults.  Players will face treacherous Boggarts in Year Three and explore the Forbidden Forest in Year Four.

Players will also be able to take part in the special Duelling Club event and put their defensive skills to the test, and use the Melofors Jinx to temporarily transform their opponents’ heads into a pumpkin.

“This October, we’re exploring the darker side of Hogwarts,” said Josh Yguado, Jam City President and COO. “From the Hallowe’en feast in the Great Hall, to our in-game events and side quests, players will have the chance to experience a full month of October festivities, ranging from fun to fearsome.”
