Gina Rodriguez stars in first trailer for action thriller Miss Bala

October 16, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Sony Pictures has debuted the first trailer, poster and images for the upcoming U.S. remake of the 2011 Mexican crime thriller Miss Bala. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), the film – which looks like its placing much more emphasis on action than the original – sees Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) leading the cast alongside Ismael Cruz Córdova (Ray Donovan), and Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Infinity War); check them out here…

Gloria (Gina Rodriguez) finds a power she never knew she had when she is drawn into a dangerous world of cross-border crime. Surviving will require all of her cunning, inventiveness, and strength.
