Marvel won’t announce Phase Four plans until after Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home

February 23, 2019 by Gary Collinson

2019 is shaping up to be another huge year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, what with Marvel’s first female-led blockbuster Captain Marvel paving the way for the hugely-anticipated Avengers: Endgame, before Spider-Man: Far From Home launches us into a brand new phase of the MCU.

So far, Marvel has been keeping its Phase Four plans under wraps (officially, at least), and it seems we won’t get an announcements until after the wall-crawler swings into theaters for his second solo outing this July.

“The game plan is to not reveal the game plan until after Endgame and Far From Home,” Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige tells CinemaBlend. “And wanting the focus to be on, of course, Captain Marvel, Endgame, Far From Home, and really what will be a 23-movie journey, and there’ll be plenty of time to talk about what comes after that.”

With Far From Home opening in early July, one would suspect that an official announcement from Marvel could come at the San Diego Comic-Con later that month, or at Disney’s D23 Expo 2019 in August.

In the meantime, be sure to click here for a rundown of everything we do know about Phase Four, including Black Widow, The Eternals, Doctor Strange 2, Black Panther 2, Shang-Chi and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
