Two creepy Super Bowl teasers have arrived online for the Guillermo del Toro-produced adaptation of Alvin Schwartz’s book trilogy Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark giving us our first peek at footage from ‘The Big Toe’ and ‘Jangly Man’; take a look here…

Inspired by one of the most terrifying children’s book series of all time, SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK follows a group of young teens who must solve the mystery surrounding sudden and macabre deaths in their small town.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is set for release on August 9th in the US and features a cast that includes Zoe Margaret Colletti (Wildlife), Michael Garza (Wayward Pines), Austin Zajur (Kidding), Gabriel Rush (Moonrise Kingdom), Natalie Ganzhorn (Wet Bum), Austin Abrams (The Americans), Gil Bellows (Patriot), Dean Norris (Breaking Bad), and Javier Botet (It).
