First trailer for J.T. LeRoy starring Kristen Stewart

Ahead of its US release later this month, the first trailer has arrived online for the upcoming biographical drama J.T. LeRoy. Based on Savannah Knoop’s memoir Girl Boy Girl: How I Became JT Leroy, the film stars Kristen Stewart as Knoop, who spent six years pretending to be the celebrated literary persona of her sister-in-law; watch it here…

J.T. LeRoy sees Justin Kelly directing a cast that includes Laura Dern, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Diane Kruger, Jim Sturgess, Courtney Love,  James Jagger, and Dave Brown. It is set for release on April 26th in the US and on August 12th in the UK.
