Robert Downey Jr. says Avengers: Endgame ending is “the best eight minutes” of the entire MCU

April 20, 2019 by Gary Collinson

We’re just days out from the release of Avengers: Endgame, with Marvel Studios set to deliver not only the conclusion to Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but an ending to the entire 22-movie ‘Infinity Saga’ – as well as setting the stage for the next chapter in the beloved superhero franchise.

As such, expectations for Endgame are through the roof, and Robert Downey Jr. appears to be very confident that the film will deliver, with the Iron Man star telling The Upcoming that: “The last eight minutes of [Avengers: Endgame] are maybe the best eight minutes in the entire history of the whole run of them, in a way, because everyone’s involved.”

Whether those final eight minutes will focus on the climactic battle against Thanos, or perhaps some kind of The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King-style endings as the torch is passed to a new generation of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, we shall find out this coming week. Exciting times…
