World War Z swarms onto Xbox One, PS4 and PC

April 16, 2019 by Andrew Newton

It’s time to grab a weapon and prepare to confront the zombie horde as Focus Home Interactive and developer Saber Interactive announce the release of the highly anticipated World War Z on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.  Inspired by the blockbuster film, World War Z will take players on a fast paced, action packed killing spree against hundreds of zombies thanks to Saber’s dynamic Swarm Engine.

In World War Z players can join up to three other friends to travel the post-apocalyptic world to locations such as New York, Moscow and Jerusalem, where they will take on huge, fast moving zombie swarms. There are six playable character classes to choose from with each having their own unique playstyle and abilities and access to a large arsenal of deadly weapons, explosives, turrets and traps.

With each playthrough the AI will adapt to the actions of players so every game has its own unique story of survival.  Examples of AI adaptation could be less zombie swarms for stealthy squads or an additional auto turret or mortar for struggling teams.

Survivors will be able to fight through intense action packed four player co-op campaign or take on other teams in a competitive, team-based Players vs. Players vs. Zombies (PvPvZ) multiplayer battle.  This mode will see teams fighting on two fronts as groups of zombies swarm through the arena.

World War Z is available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
