Chucky takes aim at Toy Story on new Child’s Play poster

May 1, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Orion Pictures has unveiled a new poster for the upcoming horror Child’s Play teasing that the killer doll Chucky has taken out the competition and ‘murdered’ a toy bearing a striking resemblance to Toy Story’s Sheriff Woody, who he just so happens to share a release date with this June when the remake of the cult 80’s movie and animated sequel Toy Story 4 arrive in cinemas; take a look here…

A contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, CHILD’S PLAY follows Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature.

Child’s Play sees Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) directing a cast that includes Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West), Brian Tyree Henry (Widows), Gabriel Bateman (Lights Out), Beatrice Kitsos (The Exorcist), Ty Consiglio (Wonder) and Carlease Burke (Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle). It is set for release on June 21st 2019.
