The Patronus arrives for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery

May 31, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Jam City and Portkey Games have announced the release of a new update for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery which brings a new evil to the halls of Hogwarts and a new spell to defend players from the threat.

This new special adventure will see Tonks and her jackrabbit Patronus to defend the students from the mysterious evil presence that has entered Hogwarts.  Tonks will also be helping pupils learn the Patronus charm with each player being able to summon their own unique Patronus.  The form a player’s Patronus takes will be determined by by both choice and player attribute levels.

Players who have advanced to at least Year 1 Chapter 6 can take part in the full marks leaderboard event and have the chance to earn a special Patronus-related prize.  There’s also an opportunity to learn the Obscuro Spell via Duelling Club and get the special limited Patronus bundle available in-game to players who have advanced through Year 1 Chapter 4.

“We love to bring true-to-canon content from the wizarding world into Hogwarts Mystery, and the Patronus has been one of those iconic features that our fans have been asking about for a long time,” said Michael Brozman, Sr. Director of Product at Jam City. “Our hope is that the Patronus will spark a lot of excitement for our fans, delivering a thrilling adventure that heightens their experience at Hogwarts.”

This latest update is available for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery on mobile now.
