Community star didn’t know which Avengers movie her Endgame cameo was in

August 15, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Yvette Nicole Brown, one of the former stars of Community, says that she didn’t know which Avengers movie her cameo would be in.

The Russo brothers, the directors of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, enjoy bringing in their old colleagues from Community in for MCU cameos and the latest to do so was Yvette Nicole Brown.

However, the actress revealed to CNN that she didn’t even know which film her cameo was for! It ultimately landed in Endgame and the actress revealed the surprising nature of how it came to be. Apparently, Joe Russo sent her text while she was on set for ABC’s The Mayor:

“I was like, ‘I need next week off, because I’ve got to do this thing!’ And luckily, because Marvel is also under the Disney-ABC umbrella, they worked everything out and I was able to go to Atlanta for a couple of days and knock it out.

“I don’t dream that big,” the actor continues. “[But] after the Russos took over, I thought, ‘There’s a good chance.’ There’s a lot of people on Community, and there’s not enough movies for everybody to have a moment, so I was so excited that I got my chance.”

Did you enjoy Brown’s cameo in Endgame? What other Community MCU cameos have you noticed? Let us know in the comments below and on Twitter @flickeringmyth.
