David Ayer believes DC is “blessed” to have James Gunn directing The Suicide Squad

The original Suicide Squad director David Ayer believes DC is lucky to have Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, elming the upcoming reboot. Ayer showed his support for Gunn on Twitter when responding to a fan’s tweet, stating “DC is blessed to have @JamesGunn I’m getting my popcorn ready.”

This past week, Gunn has announced the full line-up for The Suicide Squad which includes a returning Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), alongside names such as Idris Elba, Peter Capaldi, John Cena, Alice Braga, Nathan Fillion, Taika Waititi, Jennifer Holland, David Dastmalchian, Joaquín Cosío, Mayling Ng, Flula Borg, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchior, Julio Ruiz, Steve Agee and Gunn favourites Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn.
