Haruka Abe joins G.I. Joe spin-off Snake Eyes

October 7, 2019 by Ricky Church

The G.I. Joe spin-off Snake Eyes keeps growing its cast as TheWrap reports Haruka Abe (Ideal) is the latest to join the upcoming action film. Her role is being kept under wraps for the time being.

Abe will star alongside Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) as Snake Eyes, Andrew Koji (Warrior) as Storm Shadow, Iko Uwais (The Raid) as Hard Master and Úrsula Corberó (Money Heist) as The Baroness.

Snake Eyes will follow the origins of the character as he attempts to join the Arashikage Clan, a group of highly skilled covert ninjas and assassins that have operated for centuries. Golding’s Snake Eyes is trained by Hard Master and vows to avenge his death after Tommy, Hard Master’s nephew, is blamed for his murder and becomes Storm Shadow, a Cobra operative.

Snake Eyes is being directed by Robert Schwentke (R.I.P.D.) from a script by Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and the Beast) and is set for release on October 16th 2020.
