Spider-Man producer teases Sinister Six plans

October 10, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Amy Pascal, a lead producer for the Spider-Man franchise, has teased plans for a future Sinister Six movie.

Sony’s Spider-Man universe is going to continue to grow with the likes of Morbius and Venom 2 on the horizon. At one point, Sony was looking to develop a Sinister Six movie, but given the recent deal between Marvel and Sony to keep Spidey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it seems that the team of supervillains may well be heading to MCU.

On the Spider-Man: Far From Home Blu-ray special features (via ScreenRant), producer Pascal discussed how the universe building they have done with their villains in the two Spider-Man MCU movies may have already paved the way for the Sinister Six:

“All of these villains that we now have in our universe happen to be characters that are in the Sinister Six,” said Pascal. “There may be something that happens with that.”

So far we have seen the likes of Vulture, Shocker, Scorpion, and Mysterio, so who knows, perhaps the next Spider-Man film will introduce further additions to the lineup? Would you like to see the Sinister Six on screen? Which villains would you like to see making up the group? Let us know in the comments below or on Twitter @flickeringmyth…

Our friendly neighbourhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

Spider-Man: Far From Home features the return of Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Zendaya (Michelle), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Angourie Rice (Betty Brant), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Martin Star (Mr. Harrington), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), with Jake Gyllenhaal starring as Mysterio.
