Tara Reid in talks to play Carole Baskin in Tiger King movie

May 20, 2020 by Gary Collinson

According to a report from People, actress Tara Reid is in talks to play Carole Baskin – a.k.a. “That Bitch Carole Baskin” – in a feature film adaptation of the hit Netflix documentary series Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness.

“We can’t say much other than she is being considered by the producers of the Tiger King production,” Reid’s manager Philippe Ashfield tells People. “She feels she could get into the character of Carole Baskin very well … and she has a similar look to [Baskin].”

The CEO of Big Cat Rescue, and nemesis of the now-imprisoned Joe Exotic of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park, Baskin was thrust into the spotlight recently thanks to Netflix’s Tiger King series, resulting in a host of memes and conspiracy theories regarding her potential involvement with the disappearance of her husband Don Lewis in 1997.

It’s worth noting here that the project for which Reid is being considered is separate to that of the Joe Exotic TV series in the works at CBS and Imagine, which will see Nicolas Cage starring in the title role. Another project, based upon the Wondery podcast Joe Exotic, is also in the works at Universal with Kate McKinnon set to portray Baskin.
