Game creator Crayta launches exclusively on Stadia this July

June 19, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Unit 2 Games have announced they will be releasing Crayta on 1st July on Stadia.  Crayta is a ‘First on Stadia’ title (may come to other platforms in the future) that will allow players to create their very own games that can be played by up to 20 players.  The game will come in a Premium Edition which will be free to all Stadia Pro subscribers (£29.99 to others) and a more expensive Deluxe Edition that comes with some exclusive cosmetic items and additional in-game currency.

Crayta will provide players with a variety of tools that will allow them to create their own games and play them with others.  Games span a wide range of genres though the developers expect a few new genres can be invented.

Launching with State Share Beta, all games will be created in the cloud in real-time and players can press a button to create a unique link specific to their game that can then be shared with others. Other players will simply need to click the link to jump straight into the game.

As time goes on there will be a near endlessly growing library of user-generated games to play, from team-based shooters to cooking games and everything in-between.

Crayta will arrive on Stadia this July.
