Ultra Violent Villain Deaths in Superhero Films That Will Make You Wince

Superhero films may be geared towards younger audiences via the PG-13 rating, but that doesn’t necessarily limit them. Over the years, directors and artists have found ways of creating violent situations without there being a single drop of blood (okay… maybe just a little bit of blood).

While the majority of these are stock family-friendly scenes that are primarily shown off-screen, a number of them are a little more grotesque. We get that these guys are supervillains, but the way they are taken out is a little extreme (even for us!).

Regardless of whether they deserved it or not, here are five of the most violent deaths seen in superhero pictures. Warning, spoilers follow for Hellboy II: The Golden Army, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Iron Man 3, Justice League, and X2: X-Men United…
