Casting begins on Urban Legend reboot

August 30, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Collider is reporting that Sydney Chandler (SKAM Austin), Katherine McNamara (Arrow) and Keith Powers (Straight Outta Compton) are in talks to star in a reboot of the 1998 slasher Urban Legend for Sony’s Screen Gems.

According to the site, the new movie will bring the franchise into the digital age and focus on “a diverse cast of college students as they navigate a series of bizarre deaths that resemble urban legends linked to the darkest corners of social media.”
