First trailer for Charlie Kaufman’s psychological horror I’m Thinking of Ending Things

August 6, 2020 by Amie Cranswick

Netflix has debuted a poster and trailer for the psychological horror I’m Thinking of Ending Things, ahead of its arrival on the streaming service next month. Written and directed by Charlie Kaufman (Synecdoche, New York), the film is based on Iain Reid’s bestselling novel and stars Jessie Buckley (Wild Rose, Chernobyl) as a young woman who begins to question everything she knew about herself and the world while stuck on her boyfriend’s family farm during a snowstorm.

Despite second thoughts about their relationship, a young woman (Jessie Buckley) takes a road trip with her new boyfriend (Jesse Plemons) to his family farm. Trapped at the farm during a snowstorm with Jake’s mother (Toni Collette) and father (David Thewlis), the young woman begins to question the nature of everything she knew or understood about her boyfriend, herself, and the world.

I’m Thinking of Ending Things arrives on Netflix on September 4th and features a cast that also includes Jesse Plemons, Toni Collette, and David Thewlis.
