Aquatic DLC pack splashes onto Planet Zoo on Steam this December

December 2, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Frontier Developments has announced that an all new water-based DLC is coming to Planet Zoo on Steam.  The new Aquatic Pack DLC will make a splash with visitors on 8th December with new animals, exhibit pieces, foliage and more.  Check out the new trailer and screenshots below to see some of the new animals swimming into zoos later this month.

The new Aquatic Pack DLC will introduce five popular water-dwelling animals, including Diamondback Terrapins, playful Giant Otter, beautiful Cuvier’s Dwarf Caiman, entertaining Grey Seals and the fan favourite animal from Antartica, the King Penguin.  Budding zookeepers can learn to care for these new additions and create a beautiful environment for them to live using new construction pieces and a wealth of aqua-inspired foliage.

Players will be able to adorn their zoos with 170 new scenery pieces such as eye-catching murals, waterfalls and beautifully sculptured animal sculptures to encourage visitors to visit these new areas of their zoos. Plus there is a range of construction items and blueprints players can use to reinvent their zoo and include these new animal exhibits.

There’s also a brand-new timed scenario included that will have players head to Oregon and manage a unique zoo set around a drained riverbed.  With tight space restrictions and lots of elevation this scenario will test player’s skills.

Existing players can also enjoy the additional content of the latest free content update, which comes packed with lots of new foliage and enrichment items to keep the animals happy and the ability to educate guests through the addition of educational animal talks. This free update also features a new timed scenario that will have players transforming disused rice terraces in the Philippines into a thriving zoo.

Look out for the Aquatic Pack DLC arriving on Steam on 8th December for £7.99 / $9.99 / €9.99.
