Konami releases free-to-play PES 2021 LITE and announces efootball.league is now open

December 8, 2020 by Andrew Newton

Konami have today made two big announcements that will get e-football fans chomping at the bit.  First, PES 2021 LITE, the latest free-to-play version of the hit game, is now available to download on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC via Steam.  Secondly, this season’s efootball.League is now open for players of all skill levels to take part.  A new trailer has also been released to coincide with the free game’s release, and you can watch it below…

PES 2021 LITE provides players with unrestricted access to all the features available in myClub mode.  Gamers will be able to create their very own dream team to match their playstyle using legendary footballers or take in rookies and turn them into star players.  Also introduced this year is the Iconic Moment Series which are strong player variants based on memorable moments from that player’s career with boosted stats reflecting their performance at that time.

To access eFootball.Open then Matchday is the choice for you.  This highly accessible esports tournament welcomes players of all skill levels with those reaching the highest stages of the tournament having the chance to be selected to join future squads of any of the professional clubs in eFootball Pro.

Other modes include Local Match and Training for those players who want a quick game and practice their skills.

Finally, for players on PC and PS4, there is the popular Edit Mode allowing players to customise and create uniforms, emblems and more. This also provides the option to import strips and what not from other players.

PES 2021 LITE is available for free now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC (with backwards compatibility for Xbox Series X/S and PS5) and there’s also optional in-game purchases available.
