The slasher genre is a simple concept: take a mysterious figure and have them run around killing dumb teenagers. This simplicity means it’s easy to create a good product as it is to create a bad one, and if you’re a horror enthusiast, you no doubt have seen the bad ones.

But because so many of these bad clones and exploitation nonsense flood the market, it means the genuinely good ones go under the radar, and these people deserve to be recognized for their efforts. Thanks to Marvelous Videos, we have eleven of these underrated slasher gems worth checking out…
