Judd Apatow’s The Bubble sets ensemble cast with Karen Gillan, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal and more

February 9, 2021 by Ricky Church

Judd Apatow has set his ensemble cast for his upcoming comedy The Bubble for Netflix. Starring in the film will be Karen Gillan (Guardians of the Galaxy), Iris Apatow (Love), Fred Armisen (Portlandia), Maria Bakalova (Borat Subsequent Moviefilm), David Duchovny (The X-Files), Keegan-Michael Key (Prom), Leslie Mann (Motherless Brooklyn), Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Peter Serafinowicz (Miracle Workers).

The Bubble follows “a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film.”

Apatow will direct and produce from a script he co-wrote with Pam Brady. Brady, Barry Mendel and Donald Sabourin will executive produce the film.

Production is said to begin very shortly as Netflix put Apatow’s project on the fast-track for 2021.
