Romance is in the air in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery

February 11, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Jam City and Portkey Games have announced that love is in the air within the halls of Hogwarts with the new Valentine’s Day event on Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery and what’s more, the romance will be here to stay from 16th February.  From next Tuesday players will be able to go on dates whenever they please and experience the romance permanently. See the video below for more info….

Romance was first introduced in 2019 during a special in-game Celestial Ball event and has since become the number one most requested update by players.  From the 16th players will be able to get involved in relationships by accruing points to progress through Relationship Levels.  These levels will take players through a variety of milestones that trigger side quests and activities, unlock new locations and more. And, as in real life, players can simply choose to break up the relationship if the spark just isn’t there for them.

“Our players are so deeply invested and immersed in their actions within the game that we’re not at all surprised just how well this social feature has performed,” says Sarah Wolf, Game Director at Jam City. “We’re constantly interacting with our player base and receive countless emails and messages from them asking to make dating a permanent feature, so we just had to deliver!”

Starting today for those who have progressed through to Year 5, Chapter 9, there’s a new Valentine’s Day-themed time-limited side quest event involving a big Valentine’s Day dance.  Unfortunately it is being organised by Madam Pince so looks set to be the most boring event of the year with no food or decorations.  During this event it is up to players to make this dance a night to remember.

Take part in the school romance in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery.
