Tom Holland says Spider-Man: No Way Home has “easily the most impressive fight scene in a superhero movie”

February 26, 2021 by Amie Cranswick

Fresh from revealing the title of Spider-Man: No Way Home, actor Tom Holland has been hyping the Marvel Studios and Sony threequel during a promotional interview with CinemaBlend, claiming that it contains “easily the most impressive fight scene” in a superhero movie.

“I saw an edit three or four days ago of a fight scene that we’ve been shooting for about a month, and it is easily the most impressive fight scene I’ve ever seen in a superhero movie,” said Holland. “I was blown away by it. From the work that the stunt boys have done, to the work that some of the actors and myself have done on set, it’s just been incredible, and I’m really, really excited for people to see it.”

Given just how little we actually know about No Way Home, there’s no way of knowing just who’ll be taking part in this fight (beyond Holland’s Spidey, presumably), but it’s sure to further fuel the speculation that we may see multiple Spider-Men teaming up to take on the film’s sinister villains.

Holland is certainly promising plenty with his third Spider-Man solo outing, having previously stated that: “I can say that it’s the most ambitious standalone superhero movie ever made. You sit down, read the script, and see what they’re trying to do, and they’re succeeding. It’s really impressive. I’ve never seen a standalone superhero movie quite like it. And I’m just, you know, again, that lucky little shit who happens to be Spider-Man in it.”

Spider-Man: No Way Home is slated for release on December 17th 2021 and sees Jon Watts (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home) directing Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Zendaya (MJ), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Jamie Foxx (Electro) and Alfred Molina (Doctor Octopus).
